Intellectual property and permitted use
Course materials, lab images, lab scripts, and downloadable templates are licensed for your personal learning or for the team enrollment described in your order. You may not resell, publicly repost, or use materials to train competing models without written permission. Trademarks referenced in labs belong to their owners; we use them descriptively to teach interoperability. If you believe content infringes your rights, contact us with specifics and we will review promptly under Republic of Korea procedures for notice and takedown where applicable.
Liability limits and realistic expectations
Training explains patterns observed on lab hosts. We do not promise outcomes on your employer systems. To the fullest extent permitted under the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions (Korea) and related consumer statutes, Kernel Harbor Academy is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or consequential damages arising from applying lab techniques in production. We remain liable for damages caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence as defined under Korean law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases our liability is capped at the amount you paid us for the specific enrollment in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend access for non-payment, abusive behavior toward staff or learners, or attempts to compromise lab infrastructure. You may stop using the service at any time; prepaid access remains subject to the cancellation policy. Upon termination, your right to use materials ceases except for copies you made lawfully during access. We will provide a reasonable window to export permitted notes where technically feasible. Enterprise agreements may define longer retention windows in a separate statement of work.
Your responsibilities
Provide accurate enrollment information, keep credentials private, and follow lab safety rules. Do not probe other learners’ hosts, attempt lateral movement inside our platform, or upload illegal content through forms. If you are enrolling a team, you warrant that you have authority to bind your organization to these terms for the seats purchased. You agree to cooperate with reasonable security investigations if we detect anomalous activity tied to your account while respecting applicable privacy notices.
Acceptance and updates
By accessing the site, purchasing training, or submitting a lead form, you acknowledge these terms. We may update terms to reflect new features or legal obligations. Material changes will be posted with a new last-updated date and, where required, additional notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance unless applicable law requires explicit consent. If you disagree with an update, you should stop using the service and consult the cancellation policy for eligible refunds.
What the service includes
Kernel Harbor Academy delivers Linux system administration coursework, guided labs, mentor checkpoints, and optional team services as described on each product page at the time of purchase. Labs run on infrastructure we control; you receive access credentials subject to schedule. We may update lab images to patch vulnerabilities; such updates are not considered a reduction in service. Instructor-led sessions are scheduled in published time zones; recordings may be offered when instructors consent and technical quality is acceptable.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would send disputes elsewhere. Courts in Seoul shall have jurisdiction unless mandatory consumer rules grant you a different venue as an individual purchaser. Before filing a claim, you agree to attempt good-faith resolution via email to our contact address. If mediation is required under a separate enterprise contract, that contract controls for the parties it covers.
